Cairns Airport - CNS

• Cairns Airport is an international airport located 7 kilometres north of Cairns Central Business District
• The airport has separate Domestic and International terminals located 200 metres apart and connected by a covered walkway. International Terminal 1 has two levels with Arrivals on the ground level and Departures on Level 1. Domestic Terminal 2 has one level with three sections: the check-in area, the departure lounge, and the baggage claim area.

Taxi

Cairns Airport provides door to door passenger transport service throughout the Cairns taxi district. Each terminal has its own taxi rank outside the terminal building. You can pre-book or just turn up at the terminal ranks. Taxis are always available.

Cost:

• to Cairns City Centre, around AUD 30-40
• Holloways Beach, around AUD 35-45
• Trinity Beach, around AUD 60-70
• Palm Cove AUD 75-85

A fee of AUD 4 is added to your fare when you leave from international terminal and domestic terminals.

Bus

The pick up point is next to the arrivals area of both terminals. If you are at the domestic terminal, proceed to the orange shuttle bus booth where staff of the airport will help you. If you are at the international terminal, make your way to the shuttle bus counter.

• Qantas Airways The Qantas Club, domestic terminal, airside, second level. Hours: 5:00AM-last departure.
• Virgin Australia Lounge, domestic terminal, airside, first level
• Reef Lounge, international terminal, next to gate 2. Hours: 4:00AM-4:00PM.

• Trib's Cafe, international terminal, departure lounge
• Skybury Cafe, domestic terminal
• Hero Sushi, domestic terminal
• Healthy Habits, domestic terminal
• La Porchetta, domestic terminal
• Hungry Jacks, domestic terminal
• The Coffee Club, domestic terminal
• Blue Sky Brewery, domestic terminal

Rental car hire offices are located in the arrivals area at the nothern end of terminal 2 and in the arrivals area of terminal 1. Rental car parking is located in the nothern end of the terminal 2. The following agencies are available: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Redpot and Thrifty.

You can book a car at the airport, or save money by booking online before you travel.

Showers are available in the following lounges:

• Reef Lounge, international terminal, next to gate 2. Hours: 4:00AM-4:00PM.
• Qantas Airways The Qantas Club, domestic terminal, airside, second level. Hours: 5:00AM-last departure.
