Orlando International Airport - MCO

Orlando International Airport is located 9 miles southeast of downtown Orlando. The airport has two terminals, Terminal A and Terminal B, which are connected via monorails to four satellite concourses known as Airside 1, 2, 3, and 4.

• Monorails from Terminal A go to Airsides 1 & 2; monorails from Terminal B go to Airsides 3 & 4. 
• Security screening occurs prior to boarding monorails to the Airside buildings.
• Airside 4 serves as the airport’s primary international arrivals concourse. Airside 1 also handles some international arrivals.

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport. In an effort to keep the parks clean, chewing gum is not sold anywhere in the airport or in Orlando theme parks.

Public Bus

Public transit from Orlando International Airport to the city is provided by Lynx bus system. Buses can be found on the ground transportation level of Terminal A. Fares are USD 2 per ride with free transfers within 90 minutes. The routes to Downtown Orlando are Link 11 and Link 51. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes.

Private Bus to Disney 

Disney’s Magical Express offers complimentary motor coach transportation service to all 24 Walt Disney World resort hotels. It is located on Terminal B building.

Taxi

Taxi services are available via the taxi stands on the center of the arrivals level of both terminals. A taxi to downtown Orlando takes about 25-30 minutes and costs approximately USD 38-USD 45.

Drive your luggage right up the terminal door and have your bags taken care of and your boarding pass printed with curbside check-in. From there, you can park the car or return it to the hire agency and head straight for security. This is offered by selected airlines including American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue (USD 2/bag; paid by credit card), Virgin America, United, and US Airways. Curbside check-in times coincide with ticket counter opening times. Tips are appreciated by the Skycap porters.

Orlando is considered the ‘hire car capital of the world’, which means there are plenty of options for hiring a car to get around at the airport. There are many agencies located off-site which provide free airport transfers and may offer lower prices.

Beware that several gas stations near the airport charge high prices (USD 2-3 USD/gallon above local prices) to take advantage of visitors. Wait until you have made it into the downtown area before topping up the tank.

The Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport is located inside the East Hall between Terminals A and B at the airport. The airport has 445 guest rooms and offers a AAA-rated restaurant, outdoor pool, gym, business centre, and high speed internet access.

Rooms start at USD 144 per night. Day use rooms are available from 10:00 – 18:00 for USD 99.

Free mobile charging stations are available on Terminal B, Airside 3 and 4 in the gate area.

Power outlet poles can be found throughout the terminals. Traverlers have reported most of them in both terminals. Overall numbers are still limited.
