Carrasco International /General C L Berisso Airport - MVD

Carrasco International Airport is located 19km north-east from downtown Montevideo. It is the country's biggest airport, located in the neighborhood of Carrasco. The new built, main terminal of the airport opened in 2009. The modern terminal has three levels:

• First level: Arrivals Area
• Second level: Departures Area
• Third level: Terrace

The Terrace level provides a green space area. 

Landside provides more food options than airside. Before security you will find a restaurant, a cafe and a fast food chain. After security there are no options for dining, you can rather grab a snack or a coffee here.

The terminal has four shopping facilities, including a duty-free shop.

Taxi

You will fins taxi cabs in the ground transportation area of the airport. Cost: around USD 25-45 from the airport to downtown.

Bus

There are several local bus companies at the airport. 

• Aeropuertos VIP Club Partidas, main terminal, airside, 1st floor, next to gate 7. Hours: available 24h.
• Airport VIP Club, main terminal, arrivals area. 

Global Exhange is located in the main terminal, landside, next to check-in and airside. Hours: available 24h.

You will find car hire agencies in the arrivals area of the airport, provided by Hertz, Europcar, Avis and Budget. 

Showers are only available only in the Aeropuertos VIP Lounge, which is located in the main terminal, airside, next to gate 7.
