Guangzhou, China (CN)
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport lies 28km north the city and is China's second busiest airport in terms of passenger traffic. 'Baiyun' refers to Mount Baiyun near the airport, and means 'white clouds'.

While there are Airport Express buses going to many places and hotels in the city, the most convenient route from the airport is to take the Metro.
Train
The journey from to the city centre on the Metro takes around 45 minutes to the city centre (Tianhe District). Trains run every seven minutes from 06:10-23:00. The airport is on Metro Line 3, which has changes with Line 2 at Jiahewanggang to get to Guangzhou East Railway (change for Guangzhou high-speed railway), and Line 8 at Kecun.
Tip: If you're staying in Guangzhou, we recommend buying a Yangcheng Tong travel card. It costs RMB 80, of which RMB 30 is a refundable deposit.
Cost: RMB 7 one-way
Buying tickets: Vending machines in the station (coins only, or RMB 10 notes)
Location: Underground station on Level (-1). Take any escalator in Area B. If you arrive at Area A, take the escalator to Level -1 by Gate 4 inside the arrival hall of Area A. A moving walkway will take you to the station.
Taxi
Note that taxi waits can be long after 23:00 when the trains stop running.

It's a busy airport, so prepare yourself for long queues at security and immigration - of 30 minutes or more.

There are six baggage storage offices available at CAN Airport. In the International Departure Lobby, you’ll find it across from Gate 8 next to the toilets and cash point. For International Arrivals, head to desk A02 after customs.
The storage facilities are open from 06:00 – 22:00 daily.
The Pullman Guangzhou hotel is located across from Gate 13 of the International Departure Hall and offers an outdoor pool, spa, fitness centre, tennis court, sauna rooms, hot tubs, and three stylish restaurants.
Day rooms are available for stays up to 6 hours from 06:00 – 20:00; overnight stays from RMB 570 (USD 92.00) per night.
If you are an economy class traveller, you can enter, you can enter these lounges either by purchasing a day pass or through a membership program.
Upon arriving at the airport, you may see touts asking you to rent trolleys for RMB 30.00 – ignore them. Trolleys are free inside the airport and licensed porters are recognisable by their uniforms. Porter assistance costs RMB 10.00 (USD 1.60).
Showers are only available in the Premium Lounge (Location: airside, Departure Level 3, near Gates A1-16).
You cannot check in any bags that contain electronics, including charging cables, mobile phones, laptops, or extension cords. All checked baggage are scanned before being out on the plane so take them in your carry-on. Keep in mind that lighters are not allowed on the plane in carry-on or checked bags.
