Getting into town
Best to use public transport
Lisbon Airport isn't far from the city, and your journey in should be quick. Although the taxi journey is short, travellers recommend using public transport, as some have had problems with taxi drivers overcharging.
Metro
The Metro's Red Line, 'Aeroporto – Saldanha' line, takes you to downtown Lisbon in about 20 minutes. Trains leave every six to nine minutes from 06:00-01:00.
Cost: EUR 1.45 one-way, EUR 6.30 all-day pass
Buying tickets: Be aware that machines only accept coins and EUR 5 and EUR 10 notes.
Bus
The Aerobus provides a direct link between the airport and some of the main city points, including the Sete Rios bus terminal, the Entrecampos railway terminal, Cais do Sodré, and Areeiro-Martim Moniz. The buses are equipped with complimentary Wi-Fi, USB chargers, and luggage compartments.
Cost: EUR 3.60 one-way, EUR 5.40 round-trip
Taxi
The taxi journey to the city shouldn't be expensive and takes only 15 minutes or so. But, to avoid any problems with overcharging, get a pre-paid taxi voucher from the Tourist Information desk. Uber is also available here.
Cost: EUR 10-15 plus extra for luggage
Location: For a cheaper journey, take a taxi from outside Departures rather than Arrivals
