With eight peak trains an hour to the city centre, the train is the fastest and easiest option for travellers to get to London. The train station is located two minutes away by foot from the terminal and the journey takes 53 minutes to London Liverpool Street Station and 44 minutes to Stratford Station. To connect to the tube in London, simply change at Stratford for London Overground, Central Line, DLR and Jubilee Line, or at London Liverpool Street for the Hammersmith & City Line, Circle Line, Metropolitan Line and Central Line. The train ticket office is open from 06:00-23:00 daily.

Taxi
Taxis are the most convenient way to get to the city centre, but also the most expensive. Andrews Taxis is the official taxi provider at London Southend Airport. To book a taxi, simply head to the booking office inside the terminal or hail one from outside the entrance. You can also book the taxi online.
Cost: approximately GBP 120 to London Liverpool Station
Bus
A third alternative to get to the city is taking the bus.
Coach X30 runs from Southend to Stansted Airport via Southend Airport and Chelmsford Bus Route 7 runs from Southend to Rayleigh via Rochford and Hockley Bus Route 8 runs from Southend to Rayleigh via Rochford, Hawkwell and Shoeburyness Bus Route 9 runs from Southend to Rayleigh via Thorpe Bay and Shoeburyness

London Southend Airport is an international airport in the district of Rochford, approximately 58 km from the centre of London. It is a hub for easyJet, Flybe, Stobart Air and Ryanair (starting from April 2019). The airport consists of one main terminal with departures, arrivals, check-in desks, retail and food and beverage facilities as well as an adjacent Holiday Inn hotel.
The terminal is open 04:00-00:00 daily.
