Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport is located three miles southeast of San Juan in Puerto Rico. The passenger terminal complex consists of four terminals, Terminal A, B, C and D, arranged in a horseshoe shape. The airport has 24-hour porter service at the terminal entrance and baggage claim area. The service is free but tipping is recommended.
Terminal A consists of Gates A1 to A8 and has a ticketing/checkpoint, security checkpoint, and a tourist point information as well as various restaurants and shops.
Terminal B consists of Gates B2 to B11, has its own security checkpoints and is used by various airlines.
Terminal C consists of Gates C2 to C10, has its own security checkpoint and shares most of the services and amenities with Terminal B, such as security checkpoint or information point.
Terminal D consists of Gates D1 to D9, has its own security checkpoint and an Airport Hotel on the second level.
Bus route 50 provide connections between Luis Muñoz Marin Airport to several destinations such as Isla Verde, Condado and Old San Juan. While this mode of transport is the cheapest, please note that luggage is not allowed on any public buses and only exact change is accepted (quarters, dimes and nickels).

Taxi
There are set fares for destinations within San Juan. Surcharges include USD 1 for luggage, USD 1 for late night service and USD 3 airport fee. A 10 to 15 percent tip is expected. Travel time can vary with traffic but Old San Juan is a 20-minute journey on a clear day.

If you are travelling during these times, keep in mind that your gate can be reached from any checkpoint. Plan to go to a less busy concourse for security.
If you have a machine-readable permanent resident card or U.S. passport and have enrolled to the Global Entry Programm you can use the Global Entry Lines at SJU airport. Fill out the a customs declaration at the touch screens, print out a receipt and you can avoid waiting in line at the regular immigrations lines.
Six car rental companies have their cars on-site, on level one of the multi-storey parking garage. Sixt, Thrifty, and U Save have shuttles for customers. The shuttles will wait for you outside your arrival terminal on the arrivals level.
