Getting into Palma de Mallorca
Local bus is best
There is no train from Palma de Mallorca Airport, but the local EMT buses are cheap and comfortable offering a reliable service. Or, your hotel may offer a shuttle service.
Bus
There are two main bus routes away from Palma de Mallorca Airport:
-
Line 1 takes you north to the capital in around 15 minutes and stops at the main tourist attractions in the city, finishing at the port. Buses run roughly every 15 minutes from 06:00-02:00 (until 01:10 from 1 Nov-30 Apr).
-
Line 21 takes you south to S'Arenal in around 45 minutes, stopping at many hotels on Palma beach along the way. It runs roughly every 30 minutes from 07:00-00:00 (until 22:10 from 1 Nov-30 Apr).
Once you're at Placa d'Espanya station (also known as Estacio Intermodal), you can change to trains and buses to other destinations on the island. For Magaluf, take Lines 104, 106 or 107. For Santa Ponsa, take Lines 102, 103 or 104.
