Reno-Tahoe International Airport is located six kilometres southeast of downtown Reno. The airport consists of one main passenger terminal, named after the late US Senator Howard Cannon. The terminal is built on two concourses, Concourse B and C, and has two levels:
- Level 1: Arrivals and check-in are on with baggage carousels on the left and check-in counters on the right. Straight ahead from the main entrance are slot machines, concessions, and a security checkpoint with access to Level 2 departures. - Level 2 is the secured area with concessions and access to concourse gates.
Reno-Tahoe International Airport is conveniently located in downtown Reno. The airport is within a 10-minute ride of all major hotels in the area. To get to the city centre, travellers can either take taxi, Uber, public buses or paid shuttle buses.
Taxi
Taxi services are available onsite at the airport. The passenger waiting area for taxis and limousines is located outside of the D Doors located north baggage claim.
Rideshare
Uber and Lyft may drop-off and pick-up passengers at Reno-Tahoe Airport. Passengers may be dropped-off anywhere along the front curb of the terminal building. Pick-up is allowed in the ground transportation area located north of baggage claim.
Public Transport
City Bus service is provided between the airport and downtown Reno. To get to the city centre, take bus Route 19. The city bus pick-up and drop-off location is at the north end of the centre curb, outside of baggage claim. The bus schedule to and from the airport is posted at the bus stop, as well as in the baggage claim area.
Shuttles
Paid shuttles services from Airport Mini Bus, North Lake Tahoe Express and South Tahoe Airporter are also offered at the airport. The Airport Mini Bus counter can be found inside the A and B Doors located West of Baggage Claim. North Lake Tahoe Express is near Door C and South Tahoe Airporter is located adjacent to Door D in Baggage Claim.
