Sacramento International Airport is ten miles northwest of downtown Sacramento.
The airport has two terminals: Terminal A and Terminal B. The two terminals are not connected except by a roadway.
Terminal A houses baggage claim and check-in counters on the lower level, followed by food & drink and retail shops and security on the upper level.
Terminal B has baggage claim on level 1, ticketing and check-in on level 2, and security and the automated people mover to gates on level 3.
Free Wi-Fi and internet kiosk are available throughout both terminals.
Transferring between terminals
Passengers at the airport can use the Automatic People Mover (APM) on the third floor to transfer between the terminals. Passengers can also take the frequent and free airport shuttle bus. From Terminal A it departs outside the baggage claim area; from Terminal B it departs at the Center Island and the East Commercial Curb.
You will find car hire agencies at the car terminal of the airport. The on-airport rental car shuttle arrives at designated stops on ground level every 10 minutes. Shuttle wait times may be longer during the airport's peak hours.
Four companies are available: Avis, Budget, Hertz and National.
