Salzburg Airport W. A. Mozart - SZG

Salzburg Airport W. A. Mozart is located in West Salzburg, only 4 km outside of downtown Salzburg city.
The airport consists of two public passenger terminals:

• Terminal 1 is the main terminal building. It consists of 26 check-in desks, and 9 boarding gates. There are a number of shops and restaurants available before and after security as well as a visitors terrace. As there are no jet bridges, walk- and bus-boarding is used.
  The terminal is open from 04:00-23:00 daily.
• Terminal 2 is much smaller and is used on Saturdays during the Winter charter season as departure terminal only. There is a designated area to check-in skiing equipment.
  During the Summer season, the terminal 2 can be hired as an event location.

Additionally, the GAC “Herbert von Karajan” terminal is used for private flights only. Open daily.

It's only 4 km from the airport into Salzburg city.

Public bus lines
Services go at regular intervals (10 – 20 min)  to the city center and the main railway station.

• Bus number 2: goes to the railway station every 10/20 minutes.
  Journey time approx. 20 min. 

• Bus number 10: via Salzburg city center to the railway station every 10 minutes.
  Journey time approx. 15 min.

Tickets are available at the kiosk in Terminal 1, at the vending machine at the bus stop, or from the bus driver.
The bus stop is located between the arrivals terminal exit and the parking garage. Buses run daily.

Tip: By buying your ticket with the ÖBB app (Austrian Railways app) you can book a single ticket for EUR 2.

Taxi

The transfer to the railway station takes approx. 15 - 20 min. It is neither necessary nor recommended to take the motorway when taking a taxi to the railway station or the city center.

The taxi stand is located in front of the arrivals Terminal.

Hertz, Sixt, Avis/Budget, Buchbinder, Europcar, Megadrive can be found at SZG airport on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park. A short covered walkway leads from the terminal to the multi storey car park building. Opening hours may vary.
